After recently launched the Mi Notebook 14 in India, Xiaomi is reportedly planning to bring all its new Redmi laptops to the country. According to TechPP, the company could price them at under Rs. 20,000 (~264), with top-end models price going to Rs. 33,000. According to the report, the price of the Core i3-powered model may be less than Rs. 25,000, while Core i5 devices may cost slightly more. However, the report claimed that Xiaomi may use older Core i5 chips to keep costs down. The devices may have a plastic build, and will not provide the same RAM and storage options as the Mi Notebook.
The upcoming models will be aimed at students and reportedly will be offered in many different colors. They will also obviously have higher battery life and run Windows 10 Home. However, there is no immediate confirmation about the exact launch date. The report states that some sources are hinting to launch in mid-July, while others suggest it could happen sometime of August.
Most of what we are hearing now corresponds to a report from the previous month. The SlashLeaks report claimed that Xiaomi is planning to launch its RedmiBook lineup in India in June. The company had also trademarked the brand ‘mi RedmiBook’ in India earlier this year, suggesting that it was always planning to bring the devices to some level.
