Redmi 9 was almost completely leaked last week. We not only saw a myriad of riders but also Xiaomi’s latest entry-level e-commerce listings. Today, Xiaomi put all rumors to rest and officially launched Redmi 9 in Spain. It is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G80 chipset, quad-camera, and 18W fast-charging.
Redmi 9: Specs and Features
Being an entry-level phone, the Redmi 9 boasts a colorful polycarbonate build. This further enhances the circular camera design of the Redmi K30 rather than the square cut out of the Redmi Note 9 series. The vertical camera array includes a fingerprint sensor on the rear.
Pointing to the front, the device has a 6.53-inch full-HD + display with a waterproof notch, with an 8MP selfie camera. The panel has 19.5: 9 aspect ratio, 2340 x 1080 resolution, 400 nits brightness, and Gorilla Glass 3 protection from above.
The smartphone is powered by the gaming-centric MediaTek Helio G80 chipset, which also powers the Realme Narzo 10. You can compare our Helio G80 benchmark score and article here. The chipset is paired with LPDDR4x RAM up to 4GB and eMMC 5.1 storage up to 64GB. It runs MIUI 11 based on Android 10 out-of-the-box.
As you can see here, the Redmi 9 includes a quad-camera array on the rear. It is a 13MP (f / 2.2) primary camera, 8MP (f / 2.2) ultra-wide camera with 118-degree FOV, 5cm macro camera with 4cm focus distance and 2MP depth sensor.
Redmi 9 is equipped with a huge 5,020mAh battery pack, which is similar to the Redmi Note 9 series. The phone ships with a 10W charger in the box, but the device supports 18W fast-charging, so if you’re lying around you can quickly juice your phone.
Price and availability
The Redmi 9 is priced competitively and comes in two configurations of 3GB + 32GB for 149 Euro (around Rs 12,799) and 4GB + 64GB for 179 Euro (around Rs 15,399). Redmi 9 In Spain
This entry-level phone will be available for purchase in three color variants, namely Sunset Purple, Ocean Green, and Carbon Gray. It goes on sale in Spain starting on 18 June. There is currently no word on when Xiaomi plans to bring the Redmi 9 to India, but it will likely cost Rs. 10,000. Stay connected with TUBEXTECH for such more information.
