After years of everyone expecting a reboot of the popular iPhone SE, Apple has finally launched the brand new, iPhone SE, and was not called the iPhone SE 2 or iPhone 9 as some reports were pointing out.
The announcement came via a simple press release, detailing everything about the phone. Here are important tidbits about the new iPhone SE and its pricing.
In terms of design, leaks were banging up – the iPhone SE looks like the iPhone 8 with a 4.7-inch Retina HD display, with a glass back, a chunky forehead and chin, Touch ID sensor (back from the dead). Kind), and a rear camera. This is all right, although I am not able to make up my mind about this design because it looks quite old. Although IP67 has water and dust resistance, so is good.
Inside though, it is a top-notch phone. It comes with the A13 Bionic chipset that you can find inside the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro. I can throw some numbers at you, as Apple did in its release, but we all know that Apple’s mobile chipsets are the best in the business, and that’s great news for the iPhone SE. The Cupertino giant doesn’t give notorious details like the amount of RAM in its phone, so I am waiting for something to be revealed. However, in normal iPhone fashion, performance shouldn’t be a problem here.
For optics, the phone has a single 12MP f / 1.8 shooter on the back with support for portrait mode, portrait lighting effects, and depth control. The phone also supports smart HDR. It can record 4K video at 60FPS and includes the cool Quick Tech feature you get in the iPhone 11 series, which allows you to take videos by long-pressing the shutter button in photo mode – a feature that Instagram and Snapchat Taken right out of the playbook.
iPhone SE comes in three beautiful colors, black, white and (PRODUCT)RED, and is designed to withstand the elements with dust and water resistance.
In addition, this phone comes with support for WiFi 6 and Gigabit LTE and the same old Lightning port. There is also, as always, no mention of battery capacity. The iPhone SE runs iOS 13 as expected, and its price starts at $ 399. It will be available in three variants: 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB for $ 399, $ 449 and $ 549 respectively. And the starting price is ₹42,500 in India for the base variant.
The phone will be available for pre-order on Apple.com starting on April 17 and will go on sale from April 24 at in-stores in the US and 40 other countries.
